The Lovely Bones

I read the book The Lovely Bones back when I was living in London. I loved the book.

Trev was home sick most of the weekend so I grabbed a few DVD's for him and the kids so we could survive the weekend and The Lovely Bones movie was on the shelf so I grabbed it for me!
It has been such a long time since I last sat down to watch a movie of my choosing. I enjoyed the movie (probably because I'd forgotten the details of the book). It was a bit weird (in a good way) and great to watch while stitching or knitting.
Most of all I enjoyed the 1970-ness of the setting. Esepcially after the Vintage Sheet FQ swap I couldn't help but marvel at all the lovely vintage bed linen they were sleeping on!

I absolutely loved the book, but found the movie just slightly strange.
I think I spent the whole time at the movies wondering how anyone who didn't read the book could understand what on earth was going on during the dreamy sequences!

I'm trying to remember where I was when I read this book, I think it might have been Thailand. Thanks for the tip, I think I'll check it out soon.
