Well Kelvin has been with us for 9 months this week and is bigger and brighter than ever (although suffering with some winter sniffles - but who isn't)!!Matilda seems to be less and less of a baby and more a wise little girl, coming out with some lovely turns of phrase. Yesterday morning she joined me and Kelvin in bed and said "Kelvin is beautiful sleeping" - so true and out of the mouth of my gorgeous girl (seen here cooking pikelets).
We've had a tough week with one of Matilda's childcare friends for the last 2.5 years being killed in a car crash along with his father. I went to the funeral on Tuesday - "Twinkle, twinkle" is a tear-jerker at a 3-year olds farewell. It has really made me appreciate the people around me whilst I have them - and to not take my kids for granted! I've decided that I'm probably more of a practical person in a crisis rather than being an emotional support - give me something to do rather than get me to say the "right thing". My heart breaks for the mum and wife who's family has been shattered and who's house must feel very empty.
