It is a really simple and easy pattern - so what did I do? I made it complicated by adding on the apron (a thrifted doily) which required I add on a waistband and then because I didn't have any coordinating ribbon for the hem I added on a band at the hem as well - so hopefully the girl who adores yellow will like her new brown corduroy skirt with a beautiful yellow apron with butterflies.
Note to self: follow the instructions, don't add in unnecessary complications and use the fabric that's suggested in the pattern!! Let's see what I come up with tomorrow...
