She wanted plaits in her hair.
I need more practice - that back-parting is atrocious!
Matilda insisted that her uniform include a dress. And that's what she wore today.
We took some pictures in the driveway...
...before walking up to the school.
There were no tears from her. There were no tears from me.
It's going to be good!

awww look at her so happy! I hope she has a great day : o )
Oh my gosh Ange - she looks so big and grown up and girly and gorgeous and happy(!) with her school frock and her plaits! Such beautiful photos and I'm so glad it was a lovely positive beginning! By the way, exactly when did they go and grow up on us?
xx Sarah
Well done Mum! I hope Matilda had a wonderful first day as she sure looks ready for it!
how grown up ..glad she was so excited about it and what a gorgeous walk to school you have!
Those plaits are perfect! I'm still working on my back partings and the eldest is in Grade 3. Fortunately the eldest can't see her dodgy back partings...
